I wanted to make gold feel like silk. I worked fine lines into the surface by hand, little by little, following the folds around a single pearl. The texture catches the light along the rise and fall of the gold.

The pearl rests within the folds, its smooth surface alongside the fine texture of the gold. Part of my Silk in Gold series, this ring continues my exploration of metal as fabric, holding a sense of softness and movement.

• Pearl: Freshwater pearl, approximately 7.5–8 mm
• Gold weight: Approximately 7.5–8 g for the sample shown, excluding the pearl
• Sample ring size: HK 14, approximately US 6.5
• Surface: Fine texture worked into the gold by hand

Each ring is made individually, so small differences in the surface texture and pearl may occur.

Care

Gently wipe the pearl with a clean, soft cloth after wear. Avoid perfume, household chemicals, high heat and abrasive contact. Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners.

Returns

Each ring is made to your confirmed size. We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges where applicable law permits this exclusion. This does not affect your statutory rights.
